Tower Creek is an approximately-50-acre pasture, which was opened as an expansion on the Ranch in 2014. Its name comes from the word tower, which is what a herd of giraffes is sometimes called, and the word creek, because the historic Cibolo Creek runs through the area.

At the entrance to Tower Creek is a dry-bed creek that does not have water flowing unless there is a large amount of rain in the area. The Ranch has been blessed with heavy rainfall. In 2016, we experienced 30% year-round Tower-Creek closure due to flooding. Again, in 2018, Tower Creek was closed many times due to flooding. Because we care about our visitors' experiences, we decided a massive bridge should be built to prevent this from being an issue in the future. We're excited to announce- the bridge is scheduled to be complete in the spring!
